Products

Manufacturing process

The Pashmina yarns and silk yarns are fixed in the looms and woven into fabric (shawls, stoles, scarves and mufflers) by the craftsmen in a wooden handloom. These craftsmen are under the close supervision of a supervisor who keeps constant vigil to make quality of the shawls consistent and best. The fabrics are then hand-washed and brushed, which brings the much sought after softness in the fabric. Then it is dyed (a per the requirement of the buyer) and given a finishing touch.

Quality

The Pashmina fabric made by the craftsmen using handlooms are known for their softness. We use high quality raw materials from highlands of Nepal and Tiber. Different blends can be used in manufacturing Pashmina shawls, e.g.,70% Pashmina-30% Silk, 50% Pashmina-50% Silk, 100% Pashmina etc. The most frequently used blend is 70% Pashmina-30% Silk with the buyer as prices for different blends are different. We use Azo-free dyes made by Ciba or Sandoz to assure high quality color in our products.
